Progress Report: Project 1 and Other Stuff

Born in the summer of the year 1249 After the Fall of the Magi (A.F.), Damien is was born to a humble family just outside of Acheron City in the kingdom of Acheron, under the rule of the Empire of Middle-Mizrah. Damien, was unlike many lads his age. Sure, he dreamt of adventure to far away lands, saving the damsel in distress, and killing the evil monster that plagued a small village, just like most boys his age, but as he grew older his priorities changed. Now, a young lieutenant of the Southern Legion, Damien is about to be thrust into a world that he is not prepared for and that will challenge his prejudices as well as his understanding of his past and ultimately, where he belongs.

Project 1: Draft Four Initiated

When I first started this blog, I was just wrapping my third draft of Project 1. Though I thought that my third draft may have been my last, there are small tweaks that some of my beta readers pointed out that weaken the story a bit. So, I have started a forth draft of the book and am hoping that these changes will create a narrative that is both enrapturing and fulfilling for those of you who join Damien on his adventure.

Project 2: On Hold

Because of the hyper focus I am placing on Project 1, Project 2 will be placed on hold, though I have plans to visit that work as my editors start to tear into what I hope will be my final draft of Project 1 here very soon.

But it's not all bad news! Project 1 has become such a colossus that I have also decided to release several back stories for Project 1 that will follow some of our main characters at the most pivotal times in their lives leading up to the events of Project 1. I may choose to release this as free serialized content depending on their size and scope, however, they may also take the form of novellas that I release on Kindle. Stay tuned for more information on that!
